Hii. I have an unprotected sex on the day of my expected ovulation ie on 19 aug 2020. It is just for 2-3 minutes and he pull in and out 5-6 times. Is there any chances of pregnancy? And if there is a chance then how can I prevent pregnancy? Is regestrone medicine help in stopping pregnancy? Or what type or birth control pill is available without prescription. Please reply.

Hello lybrate-user. Yes, there is a risk of getting pregnancy. However emergency contraception is usually effective in the first 72 hrs after intercourse. -for future references, you can use ipill after intercourse. Need not have prescription for this. -if you are sexually active on a regular basis, you can take contraceptive pills. Need not have prescription for this. -regesterone will not help in this case.
