Have pcod and observed a few drops of blood after protected intercourse a week ago. After two days i'm having continuous spotting for the last 4 days, it's not heavy but little bit. Should I be concerned? And does this qualify as a period? My last period was on june 21 and I didn't get a period in july but this is quite common to me as I get my period every 2 months or so. Please help. Should I take regestrone 5 mg just for being on the safe side? For this I only experienced the spotting for 4 days and that's it this is the first time ever I experienced spotting. And just before the spotting occurred the night before, I had severe pelvic pain too but that's it.

Yes it could be your period. Irregular period is quite common in pcod. Taking regesterone is not if much use now since spotting has stopped. Your cycles have to be monitored and we can figure out a treatment plan accordingly. You can contact me with your ultrasound report.
