Hi all, my father is having headache on the right side of his head for the last 1.5 month. We have got him seen to multiple doctors but no avail. Initially, he took paracetamol but it was of no use. Then we got his eyes checked from ophthalmologist who confirmed everything was fine. Then we took homeopathic medicine for migraine which relieved initially but the pain returned back. Then we went to general physician who gave naprosyn for 3 days and eliwel 10 mg for 10 days .he also added vitamin b-complex capsules to the same .naprosyn was very helpful and eliwel also reduced the pain somewhat .but after finishing the dose the pain has returned .also the doctor asked to do blood tests and calcium/protein tests which showed everything normal .what should I do in this case as we are clueless now .any help on the same will be appreciated.

It is good that with the medicines your father had some relief from pain. One sided headache is likely to be migraine, but we need to do mri brain to rule out other causes. No need for any blood tests at present. Kindly do mri brain and review. Please feel free to contact for further evaluation.

Hello lybrate-user, the major determinant in your father's case is the onset of headache. If he has a new onset headache, he has to be evaluated in detail including mri scan of his brain. If his headache has been going for past few years, then his medicines need to be streamlined by a neurologist. Feel free to contact for further queries.
