Hi doctor I have a problem in conceiving I have been ttc for an year now have gone for hsg scan and pelvic scan and the doctors said I am okay. I also took clomid and prenatal vitamins for 3 months. I have been having infections and even after medications they will not go away what could be the problem? Thank you.

Infection can be one of the cause. Husband semen analysis required. Ovarian reserve is also important.

Hi lybrate-user. You must get checked whether they are vaginal infections or pelvic infections. If pelvic infection, you must get treated with proper antibiotics for 14 days. Even then, if there has been past infection, there may be a chance of functional damage to the tubes inspire of the fact that they are open. Having said that there might be many other factors playing. You have not told regarding your husband's sperm quality. That also has to be checked.
