25 year old female, having 2.5 year old daughter, non diabetic, has numbness in her both hands from one month. consulted one of the neurologist & he prescribed gabapin nt 100 & meganeuron od. Even after taking medicine for more than 10 days, no improvement in numbness. So how to proceed further.

You r having neuropathic pain. Common reasons r harmones, thyroid,bcomplex deficiency post pregnancy. Gabapantin effect may take some time 2or 3 weeks. If not ok doctor may prescribe other drugs.

It looks like carpal tunnel syndrome. The drug will take a minimum of 3-4 weeks to start working. Also better to get some blood investigations done to know if there is any other underlying cause.
