My baby is 21 days. As I am not having breast feed. I started giving powder milk 5 days before of dexolac company but she started doing loose motion after that I consulted the doctor he gave me nestle nan and antibiotic for her but its been 2 days she is still the same. Please tell what I should do.

Well for a new born baby its normal to pass 15 to 20 stools daily, could be slightly watery. So if baby is active having feed appropriately passing urine adequately then I suppose nothing to worry. Try to reestablish breast feed, as nothing better than that. Still if problem persists get a stool r/m stool ph and reducing substance. Test done and contact me with reports.

Hi. please avoid giving powder milk in a feeding bottle. you give it using, spoon or paladi. newborn usually passes 10 to 15 stools per day. you check whether baby is dehydrated or not ...you can check it by looking at the skin whether dry or moist.you can see how many times the baby is passing urine.in dehydrated state the baby passes less amount of urine. whether the baby is irritable? whether the baby is taking the feed sufficiently and sleeping for atleast 2 hours after taking the feed. if no dehydration is present, you can wait bcos those stools frequency may be normal for that age.
