I have taken unwanted 72 hour pill after 70 hours of unprotected intercourse. Intercourse was done on 20 and my period cycle date is 26. Is there any chances of getting pregnant? As imy ovulation date is also not near and I have tried remedies like having vitamin c and ginger tea to make my periods come faster (but no result is there) as I used condom (i guess it slipped)

For a regularly 30days cycled woman, first 10 days, and last 10 days , from the first day of the period are safe periods.The middle 10days are unsafe and pregnancy can occur if no precautions are taken. Above all, you have taken emergency contraception pill. So there is practically no chance for pregnancy.

Hi! I understand you r consern but you have to understand that unwanted pills act best when taken as early as possible, the later you take its efficacy wil reduce. So, 70 hrs is late, and we can't expect good efficacy. Slipped condom is good as no condom so tat way also the risk exist. However if your cycle is regular and your ovulation is timely, you have a saving point that your ovulation is not around the time of intercourse. But that also can't be fool proof because sometimes we can have delayed ovulations in few cycles. So be alert and do preg test if you have any slightest doubt. Chance is less but small risk exists. Be cautious next time.
