I am 28 years old, mom of two kids. Younger one is 11 months old and I am lactating her along with solid foods. I had abortion when my second kid is 5 and half months. From that moment I am feeling severe back pain and my toes and fingers gets swelling while waking up from the bed and I can not able to to fold. I even can not able to keep few steps forward. After sometime, the pain will get reduced by itself and the bone aches remains there for whole days. I realised it whenever I carry my younger one but can not able to hold her for one shot of 10 mins. So consulted few doctors they suggested calcium 1gm, iron, b complex, vitamin d tablets upto the date I last breastfeeding my younger one. I feel little depressed and finally consulted a siddha practitioner and had chooranam for about 30 days. Days went happily but after a month / now the pain is again re-entering in my body. How can I control it with exercise? Shall I take multivitamin gummies available in online shops which has all vitamins a, b, c, d,k, zinc, folic acid and so on? Pls suggest me to get well soon?

It is called pregnancy induced back ache and you will have severe pain in the lower back especially there will be more gap in the lower back and bed which should be filled by strengthening the abdominal muscles and also post maternity corset should be worn to build the muscle tone. And also abortion leads to lot of bleeding in the uterus and the whole body would have lost its nourishment and the fluid content which will the reason for you to feel very tired and paining everywhere around. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. If not if the pain radiates down the back of thigh and legs then it might be due to sciatica. Kindly consult the nearby physiotherapist. Hope you recover soon from the leg pain. Â

Dear madam, thanks for your consultation. I can understand your pain and difficulty as a new mom. You continue with your calcium and vitamin d and iron supplements as usual. But since you are having persitent and recurring pain, better to have an xray and find out if there is any significant cause for the pain. You can send me your xray through the Lybrate app. If you can tell me, you are in which part of madurai, I shall recommend you for the xray examination, if you need help. Please don't hesitate to fix up an online appointment with me. I shall try my best in solving your problem. Presently you can take some pain reliever like paracetamol and diclofenac gel. Regards. Â
