I am suffering from cronical itp (idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. Platelet count 6000. What is the best treatment for me? Can I get life time remission after treatment?

Initial treatment will be with medications like corticosteroids to reduce the symptoms. But many patients relapse after the dosage is reduced. Next line of treatment is a splenectomy which has a high sucess rate. And even if that fails, lifelong medication can be given to control the itp.
