My father has mild chest pain that occur at morning after awakening. His age 58 yr. Had smoking habit earlier. No cough, no respiratory distress. He takes diabetes and hypertension medicine. Now his bp remains 130/80. Sugar 155. He takes glycomet -gp 1 one time at morning. Insulin human biphasic 17 unit bbf and 21 unit before diner. Stamlo-t at morning. Also nexpro 40. What to do and what can be the cause of chest pain?

Diabetes, hypertension and smoking are risk factors for coronary artery disease. Chest pain could be related to blockages in coronary artery. He should undergo coronary angiograhy.
