As finasteride being a 5alpha reductase inhibitor is approved for male pattern baldness, while dutasteride being a congener as well, how good do you think dutasteride and finasteride is helpful in prevention of male pattern baldness and frontal hairline recession, although dutasteride is not approved for male pattern baldness, it is in the pipeline for approval! opinions please.

Finasteride and dutasteride have been used for male pattern baldness for a long time now. They help in decreasing the effect of male hormones at the hair root level and thereby improves thickness of hair and regrowth. There are side effects but they are reversible after stopping the medicine. It has to be taken only under dermatologist supervision.
