Hello I am a patient who is 20 years old and I have just gone through a laparoscopy a week ago and now one of my stitches is releasing a pinkish fluid with no pain no inflammation, and swelling in it I do not have fever with any symptoms of infections so is it normal to have fluid from stitch or I should do something? When will it stop? Will it stop itself?

Please continue the antibiotics as prescribed for the complete course. The discharge is normal and has to be cleant with a sterile gauze which is available at a pharmacy. If the discharge is pus or if you have any localized pain, or swelling or even if a fever arises, it might have gotten infected. In that case it would be better to vist the hospital so the stitches can be removed and cleaned and reapplied again. Keep the area clean and avoid too many movements at the point of stiches.
