My mother is getting chakkar (vertigo). We went to hospital n doctor prescribe her vertin 16 mg n injection of stemetil. She is taking her bp medicine from last 30 year. Her bp is 130/80, pulse 88, spo2 98%, rbs 134 mg. Doctor said everything is fine. Is thr any other medicine or injection which can cure her vertigo permanently.

Vertigo needs clinical evaluation to know the cause and treatment accordingly. There are types of vertigo which require certain manoeuvres for which you have to see the concerned ent doctor and medicines alone don't help in those cases.

Vertigo management involves finding out the cause for vertigo and giving the most appropriate treatment for that. Vertin tablets are like paracetamol. Vertin will suppress vertigo like how the paracetamol suppresses fever. None of them address the root cause.
