Doctor my baby is 1 month old and he suffer diaper rash near anus. My family doctor suggest siloderm cream 2 times daily but can I use siloderm cream after every diaper change.

I can understand the situation but you know diaper is the problem so use some fresh cloth instead of diaper this will be more effective compare to siloderm.

Hi, diaper rash is due to wetness in the area. Every time you change diaper, wipe and dry the area before applying the cream. If rash is not severe, 2 times should suffice. If severe, we should think of other possibilities (allergy to diaper, loose stools etc) - in which case you should consult your pediatrician.

Try to avoid use of diaper. If not possible use a diaper for maximum 4 hours. Try to keep perianal area dry. Frequent use of siloderm is not beneficial.

Hi lybrate-user, yes you can apply it while changing diaper if there is rashes. Try to avoid diaper use during day times. You can apply coconut oil to prevent rashes.

Hi, avoid diapers use b4 nappi ointment 5-6 times/ day.
