My 4 month old baby is suffering from loose motion and heavy rash on buttocks, from the last 6 days. Doctor has prescribed bacillus, cloben-g and cepodem. But nothing is working. The rash hurts him so much. Pls help.

This is becuse of acidic stool (lactose intolerance). 1. Avoid milk for couple of days instead give zerolac milk powder (preparing same way as normal formula milk, 1 level spoonful in 30 ml boiled and tepid warm water) 2. Give gut-spore ampoules: half ampoule twice daily for five days 3. Vitazyme drops: 4 drops twice daily for three days 4. Apply ductal cream on the rashes twice daily & thin film of lobate gm ointment at least once daily. Wish him rapid recovery. Take care.

First of all, if you are using formula feed, you can try changing to low lactose formulas like simylac total comfort. Stop cloben g right now, as it's a very high potency steroid & might harm the child. Use barriers like vaseline jelly. Reduce the use of diaper & expose the effected areas to air. Use soft wipes & if using diaper, change it frequently. Consult online if needed.
