Constipation is a common problem with babies when they start solids. Please make sure your baby has measured 10 teaspoonfuls of water every 1-2 hours, you could also give him coconut water, or freshly made fruit juice without added sugar between meals. Also, you can use a paraffin suppository as soon as he gets up in the morning for a few days. The suppository comes out as soon as put and it is very safe. Once your baby starts passing stools at the same time each day, you’ll see that his constipation will go away. Please keep an eye on the way his skin looks. Exposing the baby to heaters or blowers too much also dehydrates them.
