57 year male pink marble-sized lump in the right axilla. It is painful when touched. The lump is immovable. I came across it this morning. Swelling above the left knee joint for a week now. Left leg can not flex completely and I have had difficulty climbing stairs for quite a long time. What is the diagnosis? Are these symptoms linked?

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. An armpit lump, or axillary lump, is often caused by swollen lymph nodes in the armpit. This condition can also be associated with tenderness or pain in the lump under the arm. A small or pea-sized lump in the armpit can also be caused by a skin infection, like a cyst, or ingrown hair. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
