Hey! I think I accidentally just inhaled my food. I was having a bite and I felt my throat close up for a minute and as it was going down it was extremely painful. I don't know if I just choked up for a few seconds, but when I researched it, I got a little scared. Is there any chance that this could have actually happened (for food to end up in the lungs?)

Dear User, If you aspirated the food, you would have an Aspiration Pneumonia which will have many other symptoms like breathlessness, fever and cough. You would have expelled out the food while coughing or clearing your throat. If there is a solid object in the lung you will have many other issues especially a rapid onset cough and a fever. If you do not have any of the symptoms then you don't have anything to worry about. If you found my answer helpful, please leave a Positive feedback as it helps me with my Practice. Thank you.
