On 26 jan a stray dog attacked me on leg over the jeans. A minor scratch was there with no rupture of skin nor the bleeding. I have taken 3 shots of vaccine and 2 more are to be taken in future. I was not given immunioglubino. I feel weird sensation on my leg. I do not even remember if the dog really did something to me or not. Also I had taken cetrizine, metrogyl 500, micef o 200 during vaccination. Do I have rabies or will I get rabbies? Does taking medication with vaccination will make it less effective. I am really petrified.

Dear User, if you have no open wound or a bite by the dog, then you do not have to worry about getting Rabies. The virus usually spreads through the saliva into the open wound in the form of a bite or a lick. You can get the rest of the doses as you have already taken the initial doses of the Anti rabies vaccine. Also taking tablets as mentioned above will not have any effect on the efficacy of the vaccine. If you found my answer helpful, please leave a Positive feedback as it helps me with my Practice. Thank you.
