I am 30+ and I have found very late in my life that I have phimosis. When I reached out to doctor I was told that I have mild phimosis and it will go away by pulling back my skin back and forth at least twice a day. Well pulling back my foreskin is not possible when penis is erect and I can only pull it back when it is flaccid. I have continued it for more than a month but not much improvement. So I consider that my phimosis is not mild, its more than that. I have read about clop cream for resolving this issue and it also has very little side effects. Kindly guide me if I should go for this steroid clop cream or circumcision?

Hello- There is no effective treatment for Phimosis in allopathy, that is why they ultimately advice surgery after few month failed recovery with steroid creams and ointments. An acute case of phimosis may create problems for the person when he would want to pass urine or to perform sex, as this action may either be restricted or become troublesome. This is when phimosis becomes a medical emergency. It has been linked with an increased risk of infection, loss of sexual stimulation of the penis and even penis cancer. Traditionally medicine offers conservative treatment of phimosis. It is worth noting that in recent years, medicine has made great progress in this field. So, if you looking for a permanent solution for your tight foreskin, yes it is possible with Ayurveda. Surgery (circumcision) can be avoided.
