Hi lybrate-user it's always better to have intercourse naturally without any external assistance. Any medicine or treatment is made for a disease/disorder. In your case it's just apprehension or nervousness which is quite usual in the first few encounters, you don't need to medicate yourself for same. If you self-medicate, your brain will learn to perform better only with medicines not naturally. So even if you are not able to perform well first time, there is nothing to worry about as its common and happens with majority of people. Gradually sexual performance betters once you mingle well with the partner and start discussing about your needs, desires and expectations from each other. If you have any persisting issue related to sexual dysfunction, then only think of taking a in-person consultation from a psychiatrist.
