Dear lybrate-user, hiccups is actually very common in gall bladder disease though it is overlooked. If it persists for more than 48 hrs. In one go, then he will require medication to get it stopped. However there are various maneuvers that can be used to to stop the hiccups by breaking the cycle. Like breathing into a bag. Holding breath, drinking a glass of water etc. You can consult me for more doubts regarding this online by clicking on my photo and booking an appointment however, if you found my answer helpful, please leave a positive feedback as it helps me with my practice. Thank you.
