I have chronic and persistent yeast infection. Due to pcos. I got small grey discharge. After that I take metronidazole and from then, I didn't get any grey discharge. I still have yeast infection but can I understand that my bacterial infection is gone? I don't know since when I had it. But if it already has caused pid before getting cured. How am I supposed to know and does curing bacterial infection cured pid? I am not sexually active and young adult.

Pelvic inflammatory disease is caused by a number of pathogenic bacteria. Fungal (Yeast)infection persisting means you need treatment for it.
