I have irregular periods as I have pcod. I am under allopathy medication from one month for conceiving pregnancy. She got my blood and urine test done. My test reports are normal (cbc, tsh, t3, thyroid, hemoglobin, prolactin etc. I got my periods on 9th feb. Doctor had suggested macfolate since one month and from the 14 th day of my period I am taking duphaston twice daily for ten days. I am following all the instructions that my doctor gave. (also doing brisk walking daily in the morning and evening) what is the possibility of conceiving under this medication? Can I get pregnant in one months time?

In pcos, the basic problem is that there is no ovulation that is there is no egg release. That is why there is irregular cycles. Also when there is no egg release there is no pregnancy. That is why people suffering from pcos have difficulties in conceiving. However it is possible to cause ovulation with certain medications. Macfolate is a nutrition supplement which must be taken while trying to get pregnant. However it will not be helpful in egg release. Therefore consult online or visit a gynecologist for best possible treatment to get pregnant as soon as possible.
