I took an emergency contraceptive about 2 weeks ago, and have had heavy bleeding after 8 days. I'm experiencing very heavy flow passing clots for 4 days now, experiencing tiredness and general weakness. I'm considering taking tranexamic acid tablets (pause 500). I wanted to know if it's safe taking pause 500, 2 weeks after taking unwanted 72. I know there's no pregnancy and i'm not worried about it. Just wanted to make sure there's no unsafe drug interaction.

Unwanted pill for emergency contraceptive pill is actually used to disturb the ovulation which is a natural event. The tablet is used and you get a withdrawal bleeding it can be due to immature priming of the endometrium so if the bleeding is normal and it's stopped is no need to worry if it is heavy we need to do when ultrasound scan to find out endometrial thickness and based on that we can take a call on any extra support of progesterone tablets which need to be given to arrest the bleeding.
