My grandfather's age is82 years now. Both kidney are normal size, outline and echotexture. No hydroureteronephrosis. No focal lesion noted cortical-medullary differentiation is maintained in both sides. Few calculi are noted at both kidneys, one measuring approx 5 mm at upper pole and 5 mm at mid pole of left kidney. No free fluid is seen in the peritoneal cavity. No enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes seen. Another case has a prostate enlarged in size 27gms normal in outline and echotexture. No focal lesion seen. I give him medicine, alfuzosin hydrochloride extended-release tablet usp, 10 mg and it give good response, and going to recover as well. But I want to treat the problem of the kidney where stones arise.

To treat the problem of stones, we need to know the cause of stone production. For that, we need urine tests- routine and specific. And only treatment is to drink more water.
