I am 31 years old. Now I am planning for baby so I consulted Dr. In my ultrasound (tvs) result it is showing septa 6.4mm. My Dr. asked me for operation. So I want to know whether I should for operation or not.

A septate uterus is a congenital condition in which a thin membrane called a septum divides the uterus, either partially or completely. While the condition does not affect a woman?s ability to conceive, it can impact a pregnancy?s outcome. There is a higher risk of first- and second-trimester pregnancy loss with septate uterus. There is also an increased risk of preterm labor. So, Yes you need to remove the septa if you are planning for conceiving. Get hysteroscopy done to remove the septa.
