Sir, I have got a small Abcess on my left thigh. I went to the doctor and used Antibiotics. It bursted and reappeared again. Again I used medication reduced and appeared again. This time Doctor suggested Novaclav 625 MG for 8 days. I used it and this time instead of burst this subsided. Doctor has now given ORITAXIM-O 200 to be used for 4 more days as followup. Is it suggested to use so much antibiotics?

If the abscess is recurring and not getting cured even with antibiotics, suggest your doctor to send the pus sample for culture and drug sensitivity testing including test for tuberculosis bacteria. You should also get checked you blood sugar levels, because in sugar patients also the wounds do not heal early.
