I want to know the dosage for novex (oral contraceptive) i'm 48 hours late. But I took one pill last nite after dinner will that work? I have 8 tabs left and I felt I should ask a doc about the dosage.

Novex is a non hormonal contraceptive pill containing ormeloxifene. It's started from 1st day of periods and continued in dose of twice weekly for first 3 month. Then once weekly. It takes 3 months for contraceptive effect to be fully effective. So it's recommended to use additional contraceptive like condoms in this period. If you are 48 hours late after 1st dose, continue remaining tablet s as per schedule and use additional method like condoms for first 3 months.
