Dear Mr. lybrate-user, budesonide is a steroid and to be used very cautiously. It cannot be taken in steam form. It is either used an inhaler/ nebulizer/ oral tablet or as an injection. Not all covid patients need steroids. They can as easily cause more damage and therefore best leave this decision to your doctor / pulmonologist who is treating you for covid symptoms. Best wishes.
