I am 18 years old male. I have had swollen lymph nodes in my neck since 4 years. Doctors told me that everything was okay but I am still worried. I tested once positive for brucellosis but the doctor wasn't convinced and he asked for another test which was positive also. Then he asked for another test because he wasn't persuaded and fortunately it was negative. I am really worried. Can it be a cancer? Or can it be aids (knowing that I haven't been in any sexual relation)?

Dear user, you have nothing to panic. Lymphadenopathy is usually a result of an infection and could as be sue to an oral infection or poor oral hygiene. In case of malignancies and hiv / aids you will have symptoms like weight loss, loss of appetite, nausea, night sweats, fever (on and off), lethargy, nutritional deficiencies etc. If you are really concerned, you can have a complete check up at a specialty hospital nearby. However it is best to avoid now as there is a severe second wave of covid happening and will be risky to you. However I can opt for a few investigations that have to be done and you can consult me online with the reports. Maybe you will feel better once the facts are shown to you. Good luck.
