Mr. lybrate-user,in case of allergic rhinitis, the best thing we should do is to know and avoid the allergen. No matter how much tablet you take. If your son comes in contact with the allergen, he is going to get the symptoms. Find out the reason it can be due to dust or some foods. If the answer is not giving you benefit, we can have a conversation about that so that I can give you the better option. Plus I don't know how you come to the conclusion of allergic rhinitis.

Dosing with corticosteroids without prescription isn't advisable. In case you have received the diagnosis of nasal turbinate enlargement of nasal turbinate swelling from an ent specialist, it is advisable to follow-up with the respective doctor to plan a treatment course - either medical or surgical, based on the degree of blockage and the level of discomfort. Otherwise there is a possibility of nasal septal deviation (the plate between the nostrils is bent on one side) - in that case a surgical correction will be remedial in the long term. For short term relief, please have a private consult to help determine the appropriate medications and dosage for your son, given his age.
