Hi aakash, oxetol (oxcarbazepine) is one of the medication used for bipolar disorder, but we usually avoid during pregnancy. It can be associated with teratogenic effects. It would be better if you take your psychiatrist opinion before you plan to go ahead with pregnancy planning. The primary psychiatrist whom you are seeing will be in a better position to gauze your wife condition and guide you. Do not take any decision on your own, because stopping medication may cause relapse of the disease. Hope this helps. Thank you.
