My grandmother is around 82 years old. She takes amlovas-at (atenolol 50 mg + amlodipine 5 mg) in the morning after breakfast. She is taking good diet morning and afternoon around 2 chappatis and 1 bowl of rice. She is having medium swelling in both feet from last one week and no pain and no other problems. Could you please suggest and advise first-line treatment and why this is happening? Thanks.

Hello Abhinav... Swelling of feet have multiple reasons like Deep vein thrombosis, vascular disorders, congestive cardiac failure, and even amlodipine medicine can also cause such swellig... To reduce the swelling you can give a diuretic but ultimately treatment taken blindly may harm more than help. If you can afford then consult and start proper homeopathic treatment.

Probably it. Could be due to amlodipine. Clinidipine could be an alternative. Other causes like heart failure, liver problems and kidney failure need to be excluded.
