Six days before, I washed my shoes and left them in the open to dry. How ever a dog enter our compound and chewed my shoes inside. I wore those shoes the next day with socks and five days later, without sock. Is there any danger of me getting infected with the rabies virus?

Saliva of a rabid dog is infectious. If it licks the open skin wound, there is highly likelihood of contacting rabies. It is unlikely toget rabies if you are wearing socks with intact skin on your feet unless they are ulcerated or having open wound. However, you must find whether the dog was really rabid or not.
