I am 30 years old. I have hypothyroidism and pcod. I have been sexually active since january 2021, I had my first intercourse during March 2021. I had a normal period on dec 2021, after that my period got delayed, and I had to take deviry 10 mg as a result of which I got my next period (after end of dec 2020) on 13th march 2021. Then again my period got delayed. From 2nd May, there were traces of blood during urination but no normal bleeding. On 2nd June, my period started with normal flow, but today is the 10th day and it has not stopped. What can be the cause of this situation? And also what should I do to stop my bleeding? Please note, before my period started, I tested for pregnancy and it was negative 2 times. Please help.

This is breakthrough bleeding happening due to your PCOD. Take Krimson 35 for 21 days for 3 cycles. Also get your thyroid levels checked if not done recently. Maintain healthy lifestyle and diet.

Hello Lybrate user. When was the last time your thyroid hormone check up done. Might be you need to modify the tablet dose, hypothyroidism and pcos both causes delayed periods. So do anxiety and stress of any kind .so you need to get serum prolactin done along with s.tsh and ft4. U can start ocps to regularise your periods after the test results, it will have an additional benifit of providing contraception. For further discussion you can drop message in my private chat. Thanks.
