My wife is 48 years old she underwent total thyroidectomy in 2019 after that she is taking thyronorm 100 mcg daily. Can chicory root powder having insulin with raw coconut or coconut oil replace thyronorm tablet because wp thyroid by rlc lab has natural substitute of thyronorm. Please advise. Thanks.

Hell, Thanks for the query. Once a person has had thyroidectomy, there will be no Thyroxine secretion in the body. Hence, that person o be put on Levothyroxine for LIFETIME. There is NO OTHER SUBSTITUTE> I did not understand what you are trying to say. Why there is a reference to insulin? Further I have not come across any relationship with coconut and thyroxine or insulin. Only treatment is taking adequate amount of Levothyroxine (Thyronorm tablets) every day. TSH needs to be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, to remin free from all the symptoms. Thanks.
