I had a abortion 2 weeks back. After bleeding stopped I got a scanning done and it shows that there are few retained particles of conception left. Is it compulsory to get a d & c or are there any alternatives to get rpoc's removed naturally from body? I was around 2 to 3 weeks pregnant. If d&c is compulsory, do government hospitals in india do it for free.

Yes, government hospitals will do. Depending on what is the size of left out products and complaints if the patient wants certain medicines can be tried knowing that if they also fail one has to then undergo d & c.
