For a week?s old baby can we give infant formula as he is not taking my feed and cries frequently. Doctor at the time of discharge said my baby is suffering from colic pain and hunger both which is why he is crying. Also please suggest which is better, lactogen or nanpro?

Consult your pediatrician before starting anything because ideally for the first 6-8 months mother?s milk should be given to the child. There may be multiple reasons why the child may not be taking your feed including your feeding posture. You can give lactogen1 in the interim as it contains l reuteri which is a good probiotic and in the long run will take care of colic pain but it would be best to consult a pediatrician at the earliest.
