I am suffering from piles, may be external piles and it's been almost 2 months and now it bleeds every time I go to defecate in the morning and it stays discomforting even after that for hours. I have been taking himalayan pilex and pilex forte ointment for sometime but they seem to give no relief. Any suggestions or prescriptions will be very helpful.

Let's get to your problems. * from the symptoms you have mentioned, it does seem like piles/hemorrhoids. Swelling of hemorrhoids can cause pain and discomfort along with bleeding. If you have external piles, generally you should be able to feel swelling in and around your anus. * there are a few things you can do at home that can help: (1) sitz bath - 2 to 3 times a day (2) take high fiber diet (3) take a laxative/stool softner so that your stool is not hard (4) you can use commercially available hemorrhoid creams/ointments (5) avoid spending too much time on the pot (6) avoid straining while trying to pass stools * however, since there is associated bleeding, it's best to get it checked out by a doctor. He might prescribe you some medicines for bleeding and pain/swelling. * continuing bleeding is not good for you. It will lead to anemia, weakness and will affect your organ systems in a bad way. * if bleeding persists or continues, you might have to get surgery/laser/sclerotherapy treatment for it. All these procedures can be done on day care basis or overnight stay at the hospital at most. You will be back home within a few hours or the next morning at the most. Pain and discomfort with bleeding is usually associated with anal fissures. For that you pls take high fibre diet (vegetables and salads) adequate fluid intake to avoid constipation. Hi lybrate-user. Piles are usually not associated with pain, it only bleeds with a tendancy to pop out of the anus. So it seems that it might be the cause for you bleeding. But to confirm the diagnosis and stage of the disease, you should go to a nearby surgeon. Because, traetment options depends upon the stage of the disease. Till that time, keep your stool soft with the help of laxative, apply the ointment before and after dafaecation and take hot sitz bath. These will surely help.

Hello. You might be suffering from an anal fissure in addition to piles, as simple piles do not cause much pain and discomfort. I would suggest you take following treatment for two weeks, but if no relief, then consult a good proctologist or a procto surgeon in your area. 1. Avoid spices and non veg. 2. Sits baths (warm water tub baths) thrice a day 3. Tab osil plus twice a day for two weeks. 4. Apply osil cream locally thrice a day 5. If you have constipation, take softovac granules bed time with water. Regards.
