Etizolam is a very mild anxiolytic, but belongs to benzodiazepine category and after some weeks is ideally tapered off. If withdrawal symptoms are there, discuss with your psychiatrist and take alternates. Paroxetine is safe for long term use under supervision. Good luck.

Dear lybrate-user, there are many non medical methods of managing anxiety. You can take therapy or learn jacobson's deep muscle relaxation, yoga and pranayamas, spirituality, etc. The first 2 are taught by a clinical psychologist/psychiatrist. After that you can try stopping etizolam.
