lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. Have seen the details mentioned. Madam with tsh at 6 mu/l, it is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism. Usually no treatment is advised in this situation unless patient has presence of troublesome symptoms of hypothyroidism. When tsh goes above 10 mu/l hypothyroidism is clinically diagnosed and treated. Secondly with 25 mcg of levothyroxine every day you are now saying t4 is high. There is no mention of actual tsh and t4 as well as t3 values. Unless specific values are given there is no way to give any comment or advise. Another aspect to be understood is that even if t4 is high that too affects menstrual cycles adversely. So please come back with specific details like current t3, t4 & tsh values, weight, height and symptoms that you may be having. Then I will be able to guide specifically. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.

I will suggest you continue the tablet and get an ultrasound scan done. The t4 will stabilise in some time and we can rule out pcod for your irregular periods.

How much is a second value higher and did you take the blood test after taking the thyroid medication or in an empty stomach.

Thyronorm is not a one time medicine. It may be needed for a longer time with appropriate dose adjustments. For irregular periods some more medications may be required. You can contact me online for detailed discussion and advice.
