For the last year or so i've had persistent genital thrush affecting my foreskin it cracks, bleeds and is very painful to retract. The thrush responds to daktacort cream but then returns after a few weeks. Should I ask my gp if I can have a circumcision? I know that'd be painful, but only once rather than every few weeks.

Yes john, circumcision will help you to get rid of it permanently. But before that, most importantly, I will suggest you look for your blood sugar level. If it needs treatment (if higher) then do that immediately. It will be required for surgery also. And please avoid using deflazacort, as it is a steroid which is not advisable to you.
