I went to a gynaecologist on 08.01.2022. She did an internal ultrasound, known as a transvaginal ultrasound using a probe. She covered the probe with a condom. I did not notice/see/ remember her using gloves or whether she sanitise her hands, or whether she sanitise the probe, before or after. I also noticed discarded condoms on the floor. If I had seen that first, I would have never ever ever never gone to this doctor. However, she is very famous in our area and has prior experience as medical officer in railway department too. The next day, on 09.01.2022, I got a fever of 102 degree f at 6 pm in the evening. It hit me like a truck out of nowhere. Within an hour I had a temperature of 102 with intense headache and low back pain. I hd taken styptin as per the gynaecologists prescription on 08.01.2022 and 09.01.2022 as well. So I again visited the same doctor. She gave me sinarest for fever. For my peace of mind, I asked her: 1. Whether they sanitise the probe? She said they do, but not the camera part as it gets damaged. She said that's why they always use fresh condoms as cover and showed me the fresh packets of condoms too. 2. I asked her about wearing gloves. She said that she doesn't feel need to use the gloves and it's more for their protection and less for ours. I was not satisfied. As far as I know, hpv spreads even via skin to skin contact. 3. Whether she sanitise her hands? She said yes. And showed me some liquid jar sanitiser she had on her desk. However, I was not satisfied as I got the impression that she doesn't sanitise her hands after every patient. Which she should. She was extremely busy and had a lot of patients. By 10.01.2022, I had a stuffy nose and then runny nose. The fever came down to 100 and then went back to 101. I went for rtpcr and tested positive for covid at ct value of 17. However I am still scared I must have contracted an sti or worse, hiv. Is it possible to have corona and an sti/hiv? Could the lab have misdiagnosed me for covid? I heard from somewhere that labboriries are deliberately giving positive results for covid to give more numbers to government and pharmaceutical companies? Could my symptoms have not been of cavity but an sti/hiv?
