I have been seeing blood in my urine. I have witnessed it 2 to 3 times as of now. Does taking sildenafil 50 mg every alternate day cause blood in urine?

Hi. It mayn't be the cause of blood in urine. But it may be due to uti or cystitis due to many cause. Kindly get an urine r/e and cs done. If it shows infection you will need antibiotic and. Medicines. If it does not have infection then, you will need further evaluation of your urinary tract with the help of cystoscopy and urological evaluation urgently considering your age. Note:it is advisable to have sildenafil type tab only when is required, not daily / alternate day.

Sildenafil side effects are classified as common, uncommon, and rare. 1) the most common sildenafil side effect are headache, which can affect about 1 in 10 people. Other common effects are indigestion, nausea, hot flushing in the upper body, facial flushing, blurred or colour-tinged vision, other visual disturbances, nasal congestion and dizziness. 2) side effects that are considered uncommon (affecting 1 in 100 people) include high blood pressure, low blood pressure, vomiting, dry mouth, upper abdominal pain, ringing in the ears, heartburn, pain in the arms or legs, blood in urine. 3) rare side effects which could affect 1 in 1,000 people such as stroke, heart attack, sudden decrease or loss of hearing, fainting, tightening of the throat, double vision, dilation of the pupil and reduced blood flow to parts of the brain.
