Hello doctor, my last period was on 28th december, I had covid confirmed on 14th january I have taken doxycycline, montek lc, dolo, zincovit for 10 days and medrol 4 mg tablet for 5 days. My period missed. After 16 days I checked for pregnancy it is positive in pregnancy kit test. Having such antibiotic medication for covid for long time can affect my pregnancy. Is it safe to keep this pregnancy or any possibility of abnormalities. Kindly reply.

Medrol falls into category c. This medication may be given to a pregnant woman if her healthcare provider believes that its benefits to the pregnant woman outweigh any possible risks to her unborn baby. It is not known if medrol will harm your unborn baby. Rest are in a better category. One does not need to think of side effects only but compare with abortion and its side effects. So I feel better to continue pregnancy however meet a gynecologist and personally discuss.
