Hi lybrate-user, as you have said that the operation was done one month back, there should not be any wound where you can apply the ointment. Hot sits bath with betadine liquid in it - once or twice daily should be sufficient for you at this stage. However you may apply ointment smooth (sucralfat ano is even better as it contains sucralfate which has a healing property.) take plenty of water and fibres to control the stool texture .please avoid bnc ointment as it contains steroid which will dried up the applied area and burning will start.
