Breast cancer may present as a painless lump in the breast or armpit, bloody discharge from nipple or any recent onset change in the breast skin or nipple. In advanced stages it may also present as bony pain or backache, or breathlessness or headache. The earlier it is detected, the easier it is to treat it and the more effective the treatment is. The only precaution you need to take is to be aware about breast cancer and to routine regular self breast examination and annual clinical breast examination by a doctor. Also one you are 40, you need to get 1-2 yearly screening mammography done, regularly.
