I would like to know your opinion of my blood work. I only have 3 parameters that are abnormal. Mcv value is 97. 5fl rdw-sd is 49. 8fl %neutrophil is 36.% my father dies of aplastic hypolyic anemia when he was 86. His hemoglobin was always below 10 unless he had a transfusion and then above 12. In the end they tried drugs to suppress immune systems but he died. Do you think indeed to take precautions now. I am 62 years old, female, low bmi.

The hereditary form of aplastic anemia usually occurs in childhood, so you need not be afraid of that. Your values are ok except for neutrophils. They are low. That makes you susceptible to bacterial infections. It is important you get a complete workup t check why your neutrophils are low.

Actually it is not wise to comment upon your illness only looking at abnormal values. For treatment we need a detailed history. So it would be wise if you come for online consultation.
