I am 23 years old unmarried ,have been diagnosed with right ovarian endometriosis cyst of size 5.5 cm .on dienogest for 5 months size reduced to 4.4 cm .but I have c/o lower abdomen pain for past 1 week. Whether I can do lap cystectomy. If so. Any medication to be continued after that like mirena or dienogest .i shouldn't get my periods after surgery?

Hello dear.. if the pain is intolerable then option is surgery. If it is responding well with dienogest, continue to take it. It is advisable to postpone surgery as much as possible because even after surgery it can come again. It is recurrent disease. You will continue to get your periods even after surgery. It is only the cyst from the ovary which will be removed
